Watched it last night , forgot about it already, just another reminder why i don't want to live in a rat race city.

Interesting the bit about cycling and the numbers who now cycle. Looks as if bus drivers, taxi's and car drivers acknowledge cycling in the capital is here to stay

Yes interesting and pretty even handed overall, as many shots of selfish drivers & masses of cyclists waiting at lights as picking up the few RLJ cyclists. & aspirations from the planners for less cars and more bikes - but I'm sure we could all say the same, its the making it happen bit.

I was smiling at the similarity to the Italian Job with the super computer managing the traffic lights too, all it needed was Benny Hill and a reel to reel tape.

It reminded again me why I have nothing to do with critical masses tho.

Sell the car and tell them to get on their bikes, then they will sit up and listen.

The series had bern good upto now

Seemed a bit of a hatchet job against cyclists.

Get every type of motorists saying all cyclists are RLJ and hey presto feature a RLJ.

They forgot to mention that the location is the most dangerous junction for cyclists so in some circumstances RLJ may actually be safer.

Even on the test Dutch RAB they feature a cyclist going the wrong way but failed to show the car drivers not stoping or giving way as did happen in the tests.

In regards to CM. of course they showed the more extreme element. Still remains that as many motorists can bring London to a standstill and no one questions it. If a few hundred cyclists do the same they are treated like terrorists..

Why no follow up to the poor lady run over by the bus I.E who was at fault??

Agree with Mallory, it seemed against cycling, pointing out the faults, but I can't remember them mentioning the benefits.

Good to see the van driver and the cyclist shaking hands after an altercation. Perhaps the presence of a camera crew helped with that though

I agree with your 1st comment :cheers:but disagree with your comment about the van driver and cyclist "shaking hands"

This is not the first time i've seen it where a motorists tries to bully/intimidate/drive dangerously at a cyclist and obviously the cyclists reacts, but all the police or pretend police (CSO) want to do is make them shake hands.

I see you forgot to mention that this is the junction before the elephant and castle roundabout. A junction which I would personally say is not dangerous to wait at.

"but all the police or pretend police (CSO) want to do is make them shake hands."

Could make a good comedy/spitting image like sketch.
Onset of cycle altercation shown, policeman arrives, policeman says 'kiss and make up'.
So the driver picks up and shakes a hand attached only to an arm, says 'sorry mate', drops the arm and drives away.

Could even be a police training/PR video about treating everyone equally,

Just skimmed through it. The funniest bit was when the CM passed Trafalgar Square and an interviewer talked to a (slightly foreign sounding) couple:

Interviewer: "What do you think?"
Male: "It's like a revolution isn't it?"
Female: "London is great, you can do whatever you like"
Interviewer: "Where are you from?"
Female: "The Isle of Wight"

Yep , it was the best bit of the show.
