Is it time roll out the well-known bit of trivia that Gary Numan is 13 days older than actor Gary Oldman.
Possibly one of my favourite bits of useless general knowledge
Watching the Gary Numan set. 👍 Didn't realise G is now 67, doesn't look so. Then I did my 'rithmetic 😉 We are all getting older, innit.

It's nice to know I have company, but I'd have to say I think we are in an ever decreasing minority.I'm glad I'm not the only one. There is nothing more disheartening than to hear my peers big up Radio 2. When I was young, I was the boring non-rebellious one. Now I'm older, I'm wondering why I still want to change the world, whereas all my contempories want to go back to the good old times that they hated when they lived through them.
Wolf Alice are pretty good live imho - did you try Biffy?Next. Wolf Alice 👍 Never seen before, have heard on t'radio via likes of Jo Whiley. Good show.
So Glasto on the BBC is useful and educational. Innit.

I agree, although I like a bit of nostalgia, for me these are are the good old days, I’m now reasonably well off, no mortgage, plenty of time on my hands to do the stuff I never used to have the time to do, two lovely grown up kids, gorgeous wife, why on earth would I want to go back 40 years.
I suppose my nostalgia is partially tempered by the fact that personally my younger years "weren't the best", whereas nowadays people don't go out of their way to avoid me or make me cry, and I need to take my shoes off to count my good friends. But also my Dad was a fierce proponent of avoiding rose-tinting the past too much, e.g. too much H&S these days**? Nice to see that work places are taking measures now to ensure people aren't permanently injured.
Must admit, I'm sick to death of the endless coverage on TV and social media.
