Yep, sadly I have some very misshapen ones of another species along the path I walk and they could easily have been that one! The route I walk even has a damson tree that has both purple/blue fruit and yellow/green fruit growing on the same branches. The green/yellow fruit is ripe and sweeter than the normal fruit and very tasty.

We have that problem getting our Victoria plums up the garden from the tree

Much nicer straight off the tree
