I must admit that I stopped watching this "Hospital Soap" as it became to predictable and the grasp on reality declined. However my wife watches it, so I often catch glimpses

I just caught a glimpse of last night's episode

It was weird

The whole thing was a story of seedy nightclubs, "talkovers" (I knew I would see her again and it wouldn't be in an exclusive restaurant) a femme fatale, and even to the staff wearing panama hats and and full length belted macs!

The whole thing was straight out of Raymond Chandler and Philip Marlowe

It was so badly done that it was very, very funny

Anyone else find this weird?

I quite like Casualty but I don't go out of my way to watch it. I really didn't like that Holby Sin City episode. I didn't like the Romanian one either. It's a hospital soap and should stick to that.

I only ever seem to have it on when I'm eating and someone normally pukes or they open up someones guts .

I admit it is rubbish these days but I often watch it as it is filmed around the area where I live and it becomes a game of "spot the location".[/QUOTE]
I used to do that when it was filmed in Bristol, it isn't the same now it's Cardiff!

One of my guilty pleasures is Casualty, and Holby City for that matter. It's fun.
I quite liked last night's ep, or what I saw of it anyway. It's on the Tivo box so I'll watch it properly when I can't sleep later tonight.

Not watched it for years as it got too silly for me.
In fact, I don't watch any soaps.
A bottle of beer, (or 3) some good company, and some banter over the TDF is my ideal evening in!

We do that with all the stuff that's filmed around here - Touch of Frost was great for it (and as it went on it became about the only reason we watched it...), more recently it's been Dame Sheridan Smith's Black Work.
