Why did/do they need to add the UK,
Justify covering it! But you'd think they'd get it the right way round.

To be fair the Irish have been annoying the shoot out of me for over a werk now. Well not all of them, just Sean bloody Kelly. It's not Turd it's Third. My other half heard him speak and thought it was someone deliberately doing a rubbish impression of an Irish accent. Rant over. Off for a lie down.

Fond of a pint or two though.

please note the winking/smiling smilie, ;) one of those colonies that fought for its freedom and not one that got a vote and bottled it ^_^
And helped beat Napoleon, at Waterloo.

What is now the USA. A Clare man, spurned by the English, offered his invention to them.

But why even add the UK, if he was french or another european country they wouldn't dream of it, maybe some people still don't realise the Republic of Ireland is a sovereign country and not part of the UK...
Because we're mates. If it'd been a Frenchie or a Nitalian they wouldn't even have reported it. The 'and' was probably the work of some intern Welsher, stirring shoot just for the fun of it. It's the kind of thing mates do.
