All the talk of going downhill fast.......

In the car this weekend...... on roads I know very well by bike and car....

Friday..wet weather..... going down hill, local hilly village, only going maybe 20, see cars stopped, I'm on a slight bend, apply brakes, ABS kicks in like something else..... diesel... big slick right on the line I'd have taken if on the bike, only saw it in the miror.... - kept car going straight then turned....left a big gap then - saw a few other cars 'jitty' on the hill.

Coming home today, again lanes I use....loads of rubble washed onto roads...some pretty large rubble - 2cm plus...nightmare for bikes...OK for 2 tonne of car, but....

The roads are full of carp at the moment, especially in hilly areas...watch out, and look out......

The carp aren't the problem, really. You want to look out for the pike.

Your car is very heavy is there a reason for this? Is it a Range Rover or other heavy 4x4 by any chance? Most cars are + or - a tonne but two blimey !

One of the roads I go down was closed, so I thought I would dodge down an alley but it was sealed off, too!!

I had docs appointment last week. Turned out my blood test results weren't in yet after all and they were looking at last years results. But that's got nothing to do with this thread.

I think I'd better skate off and get my coat...
