In Netherlands begins in october the new Beachbike season with a 130 km beachmarathon.
The start is on the 30th october in Hoek van Holland .
For you,british guys very simple to get there.
take a boat from Harwich to Hoek van Holland and you will be there.
For myself is it the 10th time.
I think the most exciting of the races is the wind direction
On the way up to Den Helder we need the south west Streaming
in the recent years ,nearly 1000 riders took part.

I spent a great time on the beachbiking marathon Hoek van Holland to Den Helder (135 km), last weekend. I finished after 5:28 h. Nearby the start there was a a city festival where I got the chance to climb up the lighthouse which rounded off a great weekend.
The weather has been excellent .The temperature rose up to 15 degrees, very unusual for the end of October.
1200 partcipants took part in this event.
For myself the next Beach contest is in Scheveningen on the 18th December.
