A colleague of mine lives opposite saw him once about to get on a bus, it was behind me most of the way until I take a more direct route and it goes a more obscure route, he then had to walk; so I beat him by quite a bit. Only comment I got was a stupid one about my legs going too fast.

Southampton is terrible for lazy people in cars.....
Said it before on here, but when that IKEA opens, nobody's going anywhere in central Southampton using an internal combustion engine.

Our local problem is trying to fit all those X5s, Cayennes, Q7s and G-Wagons in a city designed for a horse and cart. Add a pig of a one-way system and some cheeky hills, and Winchester is a pretty miserable city to ride a bike around.

Oooh, it all gone a bit Hants.

Yep, that Ikea is going to mess things up royally. Really cant wait for that one as it will lead to more wheelspin and frantic junctions.

I was walking down portsmouth road on monday from woolston all the way past the old senior school and there was a taxi with a passenger behind me all the way. I could see the passenger looking at me as if to say "he's beating me there!!!!"

I love getting to an emergency shout before my cager colleagues do.
They don't actually realise that a 3 mile trip for them is a lot less for me.

I saw a documentary on the police cyclists on the telly earlier this year. I loved the fact that when they flicked on the blues and twos cars got out of the way!:becool:

I've never heard the local guys use sirens on theirs so presume they dont have any... did have a sneaky look when my brother went up to have a chat to one but couldnt see anything.
