Been watching superhero films all weekend

Good stuff. But it makes me think: if I had superpowers I dont think I'd be that nice about it.

I went to the pictures for the first time in ages and watched Pete. A science fiction story that was a hoot.

Well worth the seven quid.

Watched that last night. Great film, better than I thought it would be. Bit less Hollywood too. I was put off watching it for ages because the spin around it when released was that it was a "superhero film, with a reluctant and hated superhero". Have they never heard of Spiderman, Hulk, Batman? All antiheroes like Hancock.

Our plastic bottle skip was emptied today and replaced with one that had about 4 inches of water in the bottom, so that the bottles we tipped in floated. I suggested that once we'd got a foot or so of bottles floating in there, we could get in and re-enact the garbage crusher scene from Star Wars. Cue a lot of camp "Oh, oh, master Luke, oh listen R2, they're dying...!" (No, we didn't actually get in. I'd have had to be Leia, and it would have meant going all the way to the bakers for a pair of chelsea buns.).

Enjoyed Hancock as well, Will Smith carried it a little, but a decent film.

Probably my fave of recent years is Watchmen. Amazing film. The comic is just superb, too. Not a graphic novel person at all, I did read a hell of a lot of early Batman, Ironman, Spiderman, Hulk, etc as a lad though.. So I can see the heritage.

Always wanted to see Action Force made into a film, they kind of did it with GI Joe (the US name for the same toy) but it didnt seem to pan out from what I read so never bothered to watch it.
