I was going to recommend the maypole too!!!!
I've been going there for nearly 15 years
Is that the pub we met you at?
If so.. yes a very good establishment...
obliged? Obliged? Obliged?I was obliged to rein in my temperance thang, on account of Agent Hilda's celebrations. .
Yes - I worry that my natural tendency towards moderation and restraint might make others feel excessively indulgent, so I go out of my way to drink a little too much, in order to put them at ease.obliged? Obliged? Obliged?
judging by the condition of those around you, your plan worked wonderfully. I name no names.......Yes - I worry that my natural tendency towards moderation and restraint might make others feel excessively indulgent, so I go out of my way to drink a little too much, in order to put them at ease.
It has to be The Flying Pig!
A great pub on Hills Road, near the railway station and possibly under threat of being demolished.
The Cambridge Blue is good and Kingston Arms (for superb real ales) both off of Mill Road and for a nice snug pub, try the Elm Tree, near Parkers Piece .
I The Anchor would be a great option if it's sunny.
I thought the Flying Pig had a fairly "niche" clientele! Should we really be sending visitors to Cambridge up Mill Road? Far nicer part than that! The Anchor would be a great option if it's sunny.
