Beginner advice for bike

So I’ve wanted to get into cycling for a while and have finally managed to save enough to get one.

i thought I’d ask you guys (who will obviously have more experience than me) which bike I should get. It is from Halfords as that is the closest I have to me

I am stuck between Boardman SLR 8.6 (Mens Road Bike 2021)
And a lot of carrera road bikes that they offer. Is there a huge difference in quality? The Boardman will be £500 while the Carreras are usually around £350.

The Boardman is better than Carrera riad bikes which are heavy and have basic components. Try to sit on the Boardman at least for size as Halfords don’t do test rides

Agree, Boardman will be better hands down. But do not discount online retailers, although stocks are non existant now!
