Beginner needs help!

I'm looking to buy my first road bike. I have a budget of £300-£400.

I have seen a orbea bike today for £350.

Never heard of orbea! Are they any good? And would that be a good price for one?

Any advice about orbea's, or what to look for in a bike would be great!

Assume second hand for £350? What model is it, what's the spec, hard to say whether it's a good deal without details

As Vickster says, Orbea is a known brand so will all depend on the spec and condition of the components.

If it's secondhand you need to be cautious, if it's well worn it could end up costing you a lot more money. For that money you could buy a new Triban3from Decathlon. Don't forget you will also need a lock, pump and a helmet. Good luck.

+ from me on all of the above, you might also consider one of the Carerra bikes from Halfords, quite heavily reduced at the moment so if you get to really like your cycling, you wouldn't lose a packet when you want to or can afford to upgrade.
