Just did an update using E-Tube on my Di2 bike and I noticed the rear and front derailleurs were the same series when I thought when I bought it years ago, the RD was an older / different model. Sure enough I checked the Dolan spec list of the bike in my email receipt and the front was "Shimano Ultegra FD-6870 Front Derailleur" while the back was apparently "Shimano Ultegra RD-6800-GS Rear Derailleur Long Cage".

E-Tube however says the RD is " FD-6870".

Looking into it, isn't 6800 RD a mechanical RD? So E-tube must be correct for my Di2 bike? I'm guessing someone at Dolan made a boo boo?

The software is probably just reporting the 'series' which is 6800. So long as it works.

The model number is stamped/printed on the component do you can double check that if you like.
6800 is the mechanical version so almost certainly the spec list wasn’t fully amended for Di2 ultegra build from the mechanical build template by Dolan. That then got copied and pasted onto the receipt.
