Well tonight I decided to cycle home from Glasgow rather than take my chances on the reduced service trains. What a cracking ride. I left work 30 mins early and got home at the normal time averaging 20 mph. I really enjoyed it, even the traffic was not too bad. So, thank you RMT, I now plan to do that ride every couple of weeks. 50 miles of rain, but the ride kept me warm.

Well done, that's an awesome speed for 50 miles on your own.

well I`m just back from my late shift and weather was rank to say the least, wet, windy and cool. Probably would of got the train back but hey ho, not this week. Gonna have to cycle every day in and out to get rid of the two steak bridies I`ve just scoffed

Been down south for a couple of days - so missed your reply. I quickly planned a few meetings down south as soon as the strike was announced to ease the commuting problems.

Yes, there was a nice tail wind, especially over the middle bit on the moor. I was keeping about 25 mph pretty steady on the run - lovely feeling. I am still planning on coming along on the 19th. Don't worry, I need a nice tail wind to achieve these speeds. But will crack out the carbon for the 19th.

I am glad the strike is over as I was planning an into wind run tomorrow morning.
