I was working on the assumption that it was like precious. I (probably incorrectly) say that as "preshus".:smile:

Yes, she is correct.

One of the odd things about holly cultivars is some are named opposite to their sex. Ilex (holly) Golden Queen is male, "Golden King," female, "Silvermilk Boy," female, "Victoria," male. I don't know why.

Not all males are fertile and without a nearby fertile male the female will not berry.

Anyone who wants an evergreen berrying plant should buy Pyracantha and not holly.
