women can't be your mate now?
Sorry, English (or should I say Scottish ^_^) as a third language here, I thought "mate" is always referring to a male. Certainly nobody here uses mate to mean a female, as far as I know.

Had to look up Stephen13 on the members list to see the offending avatar. Have to say, I think it is totally irresponsible; the girl isn't wearing a helmet FFS!

That'd explain your use of the word 'fenders'. I think you may mean 'mudguards'^_^ Flippin' yanks get everywhere:rolleyes:
Aye, but I read "fenders" on here! Used to call them mudguards, thought fenders sounded more like I know the CChat lingo

It should be removed on the grounds it's crap: I mean that fence and the brick patio and why is she holding onto one drop and why would you have a sprung saddle on a racer and why does her thigh and arse look so big, did he use a wideangle lens. It looks like a bumbling entry in a 70's Amateur Photography magazine. I bet the bloke who took it had a moustache and aviator shades.

Yes, considering buying one of your handbags ....

Cool! Contact me if you'd like photos of the ones I have made, or the linings I have ready....

BTW, the 'X is a girl?!?!' thing harks back to my early days on the Cycling Plus forum, when my posting style was apparently neutral enough that many people failed to spot my lady-ness. "Arch is a girl?!?" was a relatively regular exclamation....

I sometimes get addressed as 'mate' when I'm working, usually by men approaching from behind, and especially in winter when I'm wearing a thick hi-vis coat. Their confusion when I turn round is fun... I'd agree that it's not generally a term used with women.
