Cracking a solo.
The problem with buying German bikes not only rules out Cyclescheme and the likes but getting faults fixed. I am in a situation where I have paid £1500 for a bike, the bloody thing sounds like a bag of spanners when riding, I have just forked out £55 for a mech to try and fix, they refitted the guards, did an M check (I think thats code for assembly greasing everything) and checked the torque on everything but it still sounds like a bag of spanners.

Two months old and I am considering selling and taking the hit. See what the manufacture says
Who and what?

Evans cycles are currently selling a Jamis Xenith Comp 2015 for £999 instead of £1600. It's a full carbon frame with 105 groupset. Don't know much about Jamis but seems a really good deal.

Im stuck with halfords C2W so my choices are limited, i kow you can get other brands but last time i looked they were charging full rpp for them which kinda outweighed the savings .

I quite like those 13s but I read a review saying the carbon frames are not stiff enough...

Evans have Trek Emonda with Tiagra reduced to a grand. If the reviews of the SL5 are anything to go by that could be the best bet, the frame is supposed to be superb...

Frame is slightly different, it has a conventional seatpost. And only 10-speed.

But I still think it's a good bet if they still have my size by the time my work pull their fingers out...
