Best bike to buy to sell

Hi

Hope its ok to ask this here. I have won a £1000 bike voucher in a raffle I entered and after considering getting a better bike decided that my recently bought bike (£150) is fine for what i do (summer track rides with the children).

As such I am thinking the best thing is to buy a bike and then sell it for a discount thus giving me cash and the buyer a bargain.

As such I wondered what bike for £1000 or less would you recommend as a purchase to sell.

No-- the CycleChat way would be to get a bike with the voucher and ride the thing. Not flog it for cash for the next MOT.

No the CC way is to put it on the classifieds boards and then for nobber members to say the voucher is available cheaper elsewhere and to take the thread completely off topic

Use the voucher to get yourself and/or your children better bikes? They'll thank you for it.

why lose £150, from buying a bike and immediately selling i?
buy a decent bike or two and sell the ones you currently have

I would certainly use the voucher to buy better bikes - its money you wouldn't normally have therefore spend away

I'd use it, if you're happy with your bike why not treat the kids? £1000 will get 2 very decent kids bikes! Christmas is coming!

another vote for selling voucher as long as its transferable

if not then its a different story and not sure what to advise

Use it to buy the next three bikes all of your kids will need and keep them in the attic until required.
