Best double album ever?

I tried to like it because of Phil Lynott. And it was a fashionable album at the time.
Has anyone heard the remake album with Gary Barlow?

Great album to listen to on a long car journey. Cannot understand why Barlow re-made it. But then they re made the Italian Job.

I'll probably get slated by all the metalheads but this is my choice. Years ahead of it's time. Ok, it's a triple gatefold CD but even so!

You're the second person in this thread to mention it.
I tried to get into it when it was first released, but no.. it was crap then and can imagine it is crap now. Sorry

It was one of the first LPs i had (a requested gift rather than bough with pocket money)... used to love it, played it to death, can't even bear the thought of listening to it now... same with Bat Out Of Hell

off topic, but they didn't 'remake' the Italian Job, they made a film with the same title... other than that, it bears no resemblance whatsoever, even the minis are too big.

As for the remake of war of the worlds.... kids these days aren't going to by an LP with Julie (never heard of you) Covington and Phil (who the feck are you) Lynott on it, and maybe Jeff Wayne is feeling a bit unloved/unheard of these days.
