Not much of a film buff, but

Point Break (swayze and reeves on top form)
Stakeout
Repoman (west coast hardcore soundtrack - directed by the bloke that used to introduce arty films on bbc2. The original's good too, but have forgotten its name)
Badlands
Fast Times at Ridgemont High
Betty Blue
Breakfast Club
Heaven's Gate (never entirely sure why this was so universally panned)
Summer with Monica

A film I would like to see is "The Discovery of Heaven" with Stephen Fry and Greg ? (Emma Thompson's husband). Haven't managed to track a copy down. Any one seen it?

and I'm not on my own...... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sight_&_Sound (although the absence of anything by David Lean, John Ford and Elia Kazan is a bit of a mystery)

Loved Das Boot.

Among my favourites are:-

Kill Bill Vol 1 & 2
Truman Show

As a general rule, I avoid Jim Carey films like the plague, but this, and Man on the Moon, were notable exceptions.

Ooh...
The Lives of Others was really good.
There have been many I've liked though.
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind was good too

The one I watch most frequently is probably Love Actually
I am a fan of Ice Age too for its Shrek moments (Ice Age III was actually pretty good in the follow up stakes, II wasn't that great).

Everything is Illuminated was good as well.
Hero; and also the House of Falling Daggers (?) - the other one by the same director wasn't as good (The Golden Flower??)

"I See Dead People" was excellently done (can't remember the name now).
