Best flat bar road bike for commuting- help!

Advice required please.

I'm looking for a recommendations on the best bike for my daily commute to work (around 10miles).

Must be:

• Flat bar
• Road Tyres (not hybrid!)
• Comfortable enough for longer (20mile plus) rides
• Decent groupset and wheels
• Capable of taking mud guards
• Less than £1000 if possible!

Do bikes with this spec come with suspension as an option?

If you want road tyres, you certainly won't need suspension

Have a look at the Whyte R7 series, Ridgeback Flight models and Cannondale Quick

Best bike is the one that fits you, does what you need and makes you smile

You won't probably need to spend anywhere near a grand given your needs
