Seen most of my favourites over the years. Some were awful (Lou Reed) and others were better than I ever expected (Richard Thompson) but I never got to see the Ramones which is a shame.

A couple I'd love to have seen:

Throwing Muses when they first toured the UK supported by the Pixies ('88). Saw both the following year by which time Pixies had left Throwing Muses trailing in their wake.

Springsteen touring Darkness on the Edge of Town in '78. At the height of his powers and with a new album to showcase having been kept out of the studio for two years.

Best concert I wish I'd seen? Killswitch Engage's gig during which they recorded the DVD "World Ablaze". I really wish I was there.

I'd have liked to have seen the late 50s show where Jerry Lee Lewis and Chuck Berry were arguing about who was to close the show. The promoter chose Berry so JLL set fire to his piano during his final song 'Great Balls of Fire'. He walked off stage with the words 'you're on Chuck'

Another good one would have been a touring show such as the one in the Johnny Cash film with a line-up of Elvis, The Killer and Johnny Cash - that's a gig!!!

Joe Bonamassa - Royal Albert Hall - May of this year. DVD out in a few weeks.

Most of the released footage looks great. Guest spots from Eric Clapton and Paul jones.

Mind you there are one or two bits in the trailer that look a bit over the top and I'm not sure about the need for two drummers.

Good choice! I'd like to have seen the Killer at the Star Club in Hamburg.

The recording is as good as the review suggests!
