Hello everyone,

I'm looking to for a hardtail MTB for approx £600. It will be for trial use, with some occasional heavy stuff too.

I've visited several bike shops, and seen these 3 online.

A guy in the Raliegh shop was saying how great "Haibikes" are, and there was one for £650 that looked good.

I'd like to know what bikes you'd get with a budget of around £600.

Thanks very much for your time!

All three look pretty good actually. That second one with Solo Air forks is very well specced, likewise the third but the forks are not as good but generally you've found three well specced bikes for the money. I'd go for the 2nd if it was me, without much hesitation.

Never heard of haibikes.

I picked up a 2013 Marin Bobcat Trail yesterday reduced from £625 to £475 and am really pleased with how it handles, having been out on it yesterday & today. It's been reduced this much as all the 2014 bikes are 29"ers. Got mine from Bikescene at Guisborough.
