Did you adjust on what type of riding you want?

There will be a difference of route selection from komoot if you choose to say; road cycling which will be more direct. Mountain biking will include more paths and similar to bike touring. Which will pick quieter roads.
Thanks, I am aware of the different styles.
Good routing is entirely subjective - what one person likes, another doesn't.

He’s going from Sutton to Brentford (stated in another thread)

In that case his best bet is to move house :becool:

There is no route that doesn't involve roads, but google finds a fairly nice network of quiet roads via west sutton, west barnes, cottenham park, kingston vale into richmond park, out at sheen gate, down through mortlake to the river, then down the thames path to kew bridge and then left into Brentford. 13.4 miles and pretty flat.

The alternative is Via National Cycle Route 20 which takes you through RoseHill, Merton Abbey, Colliers Wood, Earlsfield, Wandsworth, Putney Bridge, Thames path to Hammersmith bridge then down the side of the Great West Road, Chiswick HIgh Road, Gunnersbury Brentford. 3 miles longer and a lot more horrible in terms of roads IMHO.
