I've recently been listening to the BBCs Witness podcasts (http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p004t1hd/episodes/downloads) of the voices of WW1 and WW2 veterans, and it has just blown me away with some of the stories and what they had to endure. I am so grateful these witness accounts have been preserved. Hearing these people speak and come alive from history is amazing. My only criticism is most of these podcasts are only 10 mins long.
A couple of the podcasts stand out for me (though there are so many worthwhile listening to)-
Gas being used for the first time in WW1:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b05zkr54
or the story of a Polish girl living next to the Krakow Ghetto, and what her family did (warning very disturbing recollection):

Anyone else got any podcasts they think are exceptional? Doesn't matter the subject matter as I appreciate the above is a heavy subject.
