If that was the case then I don't think I'd use glueless patches. I don't have to re-repair a tube very often at all.

I think doing a bunch of repairs in one go might work for me.

By lasting the rest of the week I didn't mean that after that it leaked. I meant that I was teaching Bikeability and I fixed the puncture on Tuesday and it was stiil good on Friday and probably still is going good.
I'm happy to use glueless from now on :becool:.

I alway end up with lots of glue (in the tubes) and am caught out with not enough patches. The local bike shop does not sell replacement patches (in 10's) any more...

I prefer the Lezyne self adhesive patches. Never had an issue and have had ridden for thousands of kilometers on patched inner tubes without issue. Their kits also come with a tyre boot as well.

But I did find the trick was to ensure that you re-inflate the 'holed' inner tube as much as possible before patching, so that the rubber has stretched and you put the patch over the stretched inner tube rubber - that way you don't over stretch the patch and the patch's glue when you re-inflate the tyre. My OH is currently running with patched inner tube at 100psi without issue.
