I remember the 1980's advert.

Funny thing was I worked as a supplier to the railways at one point, and my customer told me they really did have speed traps for speeding trains. A colleague of his had been "done" when testing a new train and the engineer in charge of the trial had said to go a bit faster but had exceeded the officially allowed speed for the train or track and got an official bollocking. They really did use a radar gun to catch him as well.

It's true.I've seen a radar gun used as well.Not recently now as the trains have data recorders.
