Well i found it thrilling.... So did millions of others.

It didn't get my pulse racing or make me apprehensive the way that thrillers do. I find it uplifting rather than exciting.

Thriller is a broad genre of literature, film, and television programming that uses suspense, tension and excitement as the main elements. Thrillers heavily stimulate the viewer's moods giving them a high level of anticipation, ultra-heightened expectation, uncertainty, surprise, anxiety and/or terror. Thriller films tend to be adrenaline-rushing, gritty, rousing and fast-paced

Anyway, it doesn't really matter what genre we place it in - it's still one of my favourite films!

I love Fargo but I would call it a black comedy rather than a thriller!

True, it does have dark comedic moments. But I guess (like many films) it has it's feet in more than one category.
