I would spend the extra for the better group and wheels, but if you shop around the uk suppliers of Orbea you may even find one a little cheaper. The Aqua is a fabulous and vastly under rated bike. The handling is truly lovely, very taught and punchy. I don't own one but I've ridden a few.

I actually do own one, and I agree with Russells' comments, the handling is lovely and punchy. Mine has the 2300 groupset, and after 2 years of riding, not changed a single thing, (except upgraded the wheels to R500's after 12 months). I find no faults with it, rides great.

Or shop around, you could probably pick up last years Orbea Onix (full carbon) for less than £1000, (my LBS has one for £899 but it's too small for me).
