Best way to seal polycarb butting up to timber?

My SiL is building what i would call a wooden gazebo/garden retreat.
Photo of proposed roof is below.
The top back of the roof is timber (so he can walk on it to prune the conifers). The top front will be polycarbonate (for light).
They will butt up to each other.
The wood will be felt covered.
Q..... how best to seal where they meet.
We are thinking heavy duty tape of some sort.
Any thoughts ?

Sikafix, definitely not spelt correctly. It's waterproof, long lasting and sticks like sh#t.

Just googled that. It seems to be double sided. I dont know but I imagine single sided would be better.

I have used this. I used it to seal between a polycarbonate leanto shed roof and a brick wall. Worked great.

Is there any slope on the roof so the rain runs off?

Are you planning to overlap the two materials /sections at all

If you address the above correctly you don't need to worry much about the seal/join, beyond a bit of mastic.

"butting them up" is asking for trouble / leaks

I wouldn't butt them edge to edge it'll leak pretty quickly even with a flashing tape. I would batten the top of the rafters where the polycarbonate sits so it can overlap on top of felt on the plywood by a minimum 100mm. You can sikaflex/polymer adhesive the joint.

TBH I dont know about a slope. I will check on that.
I will also check if its possible to overlap the 2.

Any joists going in to strengthen the roof base?

Unless that is thick boards, over time with the elements there is a good chance you could put your foot through it and fall through the hole when standing on it.
