Not got the chance to see them yet but would love to

They're doing a wee tour at the beginning of next year..i've got tickets to see them in Aberdeens music hall..i've always seen em in very small venues so i hope they transfer well in a bigger hall..first i saw them was by accident at The Tartan Heart festival Belladrum in 2008...only went into the tent they were in to escape a rain shower..they blew me away...best band i saw there that weekend...hope you get to see them soon

answer me this. Is there a Scottish 'style'? Looking at the links going back to the 80s (and setting aside the Bay City Rollers and the Krankies), the music is kind of widescreen - big open spaces, simple themes, uplifting chorus lines, longing for the faraway kind of stuff. Or am I overlaying my own experience of Scotland on to the music?

There is genre known as Acid Croft and here are some examples from performers that I admire:

I'm surprised that no one has suggested the great Maggie Bell and Stone the Crows. More of a blues sound, than pure rock. Maggie is probably one the best female blues singer ever.
.

We were waiting for you to mention her ACS, you're only right too, fantastic voice - best known for No Mean City I guess.
