Hi all, two quick questions and opinions would be appreciated please.
I'm about to buy a specialissma or an infinito frameset, first question would be is the specialissma really worth spending 1.5k over the infinito?
Second question, what colour, the Bianchi fans will say it's got to be Celeste, now I can't say I love it but it is slowly growing on me, prefer the black gloss with red graphics as I'm putting the bora ultra 50 wheels on it (red and black), but is it a case of if your buying a Ferrari its got to be in red? It's not a cheap bike and I want to get it right with no regrets, stand out like beacon or go safe with the black and blend in to the crowd. Personal choice I know but 9 out of ten Bianchi's sold in the uk are in colours other than Celeste according to my local dealer so I was hoping to get some feed back as I really can't decide between the specialissma or infinito and that colour scheme.
Thanks.

Thanks for the replies, my fitness levels are good, 72kg and still pushing my boundaries, got several sportives this year starting in May, all over 160km. I've had a look at the full Celeste colour, I had one on demo for a few days specialissma, incredibly light bike and if you ever needed the edge on hills this bike is awesome also descends like a far heavier bike, it's just that colour. I tried the variations on the Bianchi website but something inside me says if your buying this sort of bike it should only be in the intended colour, plus there's so many black bike's out there now maybe it's good to be different, who knows, maybe I'll demo one for a few more days see if it grows in me anymore.
Thanks.

If you want to sell it more easily in the future, gas chamber / asylum green . Celeste is the best option . Try and get an Italian groupset as well. Also, do you really want to ride a nice bike like that in a crashfest Sportive?

The Infinito CV and Specialissima are very different bikes. I only have an Infinito CV (and a Sempre) but it rides in quite a different way from the more racy Sempre. Basically the Infinito is an endurance racer and the Specialissima is a climbing bike. What do you want from a bike? The Specialissima is maybe a kilo lighter, but that would disappear with light wheels and groupset. If you are out and out racer then maybe the XR4 Oltre is a better bet. I think you need to be a bit cleaer about what you want the bike to do, before splashing the best part of £10,000.

IMHO, this 1970's Bianchi on Gumtree for £400 is the bike you need.^_^
