So there I am, minding my own business when the next thing I know is I've talked myself into building a hybrid/road bike for my 9yr old and then suddenly I've got 2 bare Bianci frames from ebay to fettle. They turned up as bare alli frames so the first thing that I've done is give them a coat of etch primer followed by a coat of ordinary primer simply to protect them from the elements.

So we have....

a 44cm Bianchi Via Nirone 7 frame for my girl.
And then there's my latest crazy idea...

It's a Bianchi Jim, but not as we know it! 😉 It looks like a model that Bianchi never released.
Both picked up on ebay, the blurb said that they came from a factory in Taiwan that went bankrupt.

Home built painting stand that's adjustable for my girl to use. And my Bianchi Bancarotta wearing a coat of aluminium paint. Please note that this was not sprayed in the garden, merely photographed in the garden.

So I did some fettling....

And almost immediately regretted pulling apart the Boardman Road Sport :cry:which is a little too big frame wise for me.
Beginning to dislike this N+1 addiction thing. :banghead:

Still at the WIP stage. Had a knackered Fulcrum Racing 7LG rear wheel, so I got a replacement which turned out to be buckled as well.
So, I decided to recycle the hubs. I got a shimano front hub, some 35mm ally rims and spokes from the dreaded Ebay and started having fun fettling some wheels for the Bianchi and a rear wheel to partner the Fulcrum Racing 7LG front wheel.

What does 'er indoors think about you commandeering the kitchen for wheel building?
I actually commandeered the dining room table. The kitchen was used for the pics due to superior lighting. 'Er indoors kicked me out in January so now I am with my widowed father who enjoys spectating all my cycle fettling.
