Big Boys Toys

I visited my niece and her husband on Saturday to see their brand new baby, whilst I was there James introduced me to his newest toy, a food smoker:

He had just turned a £10 Salmon from Sainsbos into at least £50 of the best tasting smoked salmon I've ever had, and yes I do want one, but at the price how could I justify it.

So what big boys (and girls) toy do you want but can't quite justify, or get past the other half?

This my food smoker:

I was given to me last year by my friend's wife, after he died. Up until then, for the previous 3 years I had been using a cheap galvanised steel dustbin, with a few holes knocked in it.

Looks good Dayvo, I'm after something that will do cold smoking too. that Bradley job my niece has comes with an adaptor (a piece of alu tubing for £79) to seperate the heat source from the food so delivering cold smoke.

I think I might trawl the interweb, there must be a way of making your own from tins and trunking.
