keep boat! That said. 18yr olds can be fun if you approach it in the right way (or look young)

I am sure they would be fun, but not the sort of fun that I might want 24 hours a day. Chris667, my vote is that you keep the boat. With the proviso that

a) you post some photos

;) you do not mind if I ask if you are going to Hull University

OK...why go to University.......?

Just asking.... ?

It's a lot to give up...

No need to elaborate, but there is a slog...and what will you 'benefit' at the end.

Loads of graduates are unemployed at the moment...very few end up in what they studied to do (well at least for a few years).....

Just interested, as my 'approach' was very different to getting to a 'professional' qualification - i.e. over and above a degree..

Keep the boat at all costs. If you can juggle things, why not give "living with the youth" a brief try, and see how it goes? They might be fun to be around. If not, you have a safe haven.

Another keep the boat option - I couldn't imagine going back and living in halls now, and most people only did it for a year before moving out with friends, having arguments, finding different friends to live with etc. I was piggy in the middle in a big flat split in my third year just before my final exams - the timing was really lousy.

Because you won't be trying to pull me with your loud music and drinking games

Never underestimate an 'oldie'. A lot of my younger colleagues can not keep pace with my hectic lifestyle and often opt for an early night when out on one of my organised weekend drinking tours in the dales. They think that they can hack it before participating.

I have a waiting list for future 'tours' but the young 'uns do not get priority places - us oldies have to spend too much time looking after them as they lapse into unconsciousness or spend a couple of hours puking robbing us of treasure party time.

Well, I've always wanted to be study at degree level, I have no kids, and there's no work I fancy out there at the moment, so why not?

There's only two on Photobucket:

The stove, source of all heating and food from September-April.

Alas, Hull isn't reachable without a crane. But I like your thinking.
