The first time we saw it it had knocked itself out hitting the back window- thankfully the cat didn't see it and it slowly came to and flew away- must have had a headache!

We weren't around to record in our garden this week-end but will keep an eye out for it and see if I can get a photo.

Anyone else having trouble submitting the results for this year's survey? The RSPB website was down all day, now it's back up (sort of) but won't let me submit anything. It says I need a password and I don't remember ever having one

Anyways - here are today's results from GW Towers.

1 Blackbird
1 Little Egret
1 Pied Wagtail
1 Pheasant

The only bird I've seen in my garden today is a goldfinch a cat took in .
There's been dozens on the other side of my fence, but I'm not allowed to include them.

That's probably because everybody else has loaded up their birdtables with goodies to guarantee good results.

I'm on the 4th floor and don't have a garden. My patch is anything I can see (usually after hearing them) from here. We're down on starlings, thrushes are ok, blue tits ok, great tits are superabundant, there are still grey wagtails but not as noticeable as a couple of years ago, on the other hand, we get more pied wagtails - there's even a semi-tame one in the High Street. A good supply of goldfinches. Always a pleasure. And there's a blackbird which has been singing the most exquisite song before dawn recently.
