Get back to work, you lazy-good-for nothing, you've got to pretend to be indispensible this week.

Those discs are the shitey-ist pieces of shite I've seen in a long time.

Alright, alright. I've worked my way up from useless to mediocre between yesterday and today. Which means tomorrow I'll be competent and on Friday I will be brilliant.

They really are shite, aren't they?

And if you refused to use one what would they do? Surely they can't ban you from the ride. If I had a nice set of wheels like Zipps there would be no way that would be going between my wheel.

but thanks to the usual insane hazards of Sustrans routes. Apparently it's a good idea to have a sort of mini cattle grid (nothing to do with livestock) with large flat metal struts that are treacherously slippy when wet (which is most of the time) right underneath those barriers that narrow at handlebar height...

I wondered why the local 'sustrans' supported cycle path has a couple of these, they have to be approached at speed too if you don't want to be shaken to bits, and you get dog walkers and pedestrians lurking around them too.
