Assuming that's some kind of horrifically dangerous woodworking machine, shouldn't the big red button be the emergency stop?
The machine is mental and apparently was sold with a lesson from a rep on how to use it . Its old skool Elu from the 40's i think ? Ive sussed the 12" planer blade sharpening but the saw blade and the rest are to much to even think about .
It also grinds profiles but i cant work that out  . The machine is one big headfark ! I payed £50 to get my headfarked
The red button may be a H&S nightmare but some of us use red buttons to start work , not stop it

I thought John Hurt tried to blow up Gallifrey with a red button:

I think you'll all find that we have the biggest red button on our workbench...

However, being a friendly bunch, our button opens the door to let people in, rather than blowing them to smithereens...:hugs:

A friend of mine was doing some maintenance in the roof space of a public building somewhere near Norwich. There was a Big Red Button on the wall, labelled “System Test (Do Not Press)”.

He was of course tempted to press the button, but resisted.
But after a week of working beside this button, he could hold back no longer, and he succumbed.

He has learned several things from this incident:

1. The East Anglian Flood Warning siren network was originally the WWII air raid siren system.
2. The East Anglian Flood Warning siren network is extremely loud
3. The East Anglian Flood Warning siren network can be turned on by pressing the System Test button - but cannot be turned off the same way.

I have a big red button on the right of my desk. It sends a small missile to kill any of my enemies I wish dead.

Sadly, Nurse tells me that it's out of order at the moment but I've got an electrical screwdriver and..............
