If anybody has a bike box cluttering up their spare room that they would consider parting with please let me know. I'm happy to pay a fair price but definately only interested in a hard shell box, not a bag.Thanks.

yes - I have 2 hard shell ones that are needing new homes, but I am on holiday until the end next week.
When do you want it for?

Ooo what type... and how much?
sorry if i sound crass...

ditto... if my budget can stretch

I assume you mean cardboard boxes?
I did yup, that's the impression I got from the OP TBH.
The OP wants a proper box I think
Ah right. I know a lot of people just use cardboard bike boxes for shipping purposes, it's what they come in after all.

@geo, I used a Bike Box Alan when I took my bike abroad. You can also hire them which is very handy. I hired mine from Bike Shak in Altrincham.

FWIW they are a superb piece of kit and I wouldn't hesitate putting any of my bikes in another one.

I own a Bike Box Alan, and yes it is amazing. I bought it when a cardboard one left me with a bent bar on a flight.

When coming from the factory they are packed neatly into a shipping container, so less likely to suffer
