What are my chances of Halfords giving me a bike box? I don't fancy my chances with their generosity.

What should I say to increase my chances?

I have got a box from them before. They are usually happy to get rid of them.
If not HalFords, try your LBS.

Use Paisley freight or similar, probably around £30

The issue with a courier is I'd need to be in. Or hoof the box with me to work I suppose.

Well you'd need to take it to the PO too? You should be able to price up on parcel farce site once you have the dimensions and weight of the box

Flatten the box fully and then fold it at right angles to its length. Packing tape will hold it folded and it'll be fully functional when you make it box shaped again.

When i needed a bike box on a hurry i went after hours and there were some round the back.

Feel like a day off work would be ideal to get this sorted.

Might swing by back of Halfords in Falkirk in morning and raid the bins. Don't know how to get round back of Stirling one.
