I have a Thule carrier on which I carry my bike to Cumbria and back, my Ribble is fine on this but when my Colnago arrives (soon hopefully) I would prefer to have it covered up from prying eyes while on the move. The bottom needs to be open for the straps to fasten over the rims and the fabric tough enough for motorway speeds.
Any recommendations ?
Before you say put it in the car, Mrs Domus fills the car with everything but the kitchen sink.

The ones used on camping cars are designed for this job. Fiamma are about the most popular but usually fail within a year or 2 as the material is quite thin. A better quality is from Hindermann, ours was used for about 8 years before we stopped using the rear bike rack. The cover rubbing and flapping about is usually what causes the material to wear through. The ones above posted by CK look very nice.
