For ease of use, not needing to worry about getting dirt inside etc., I use one bike for actual riding, and one for turbo training inside.

Turbo bike has more or less died, so am looking for a replacement, and was hoping for some advice - obviously since it's inside only, what I'm looking for is a bike with a really nice clean gear change, good range of gears, good durability and comfort, but without paying through the nose for weight reduction I'm not going to use.

Any advice, please let me know. Budget is probably in the £600 region max, but obviously if I don't need to be spending that much that's even better.

Thanks in advance!

personally I would tinker with your old bike.. to make it how you want it .. comfy (cheap) saddle
clean up the gearing ... Though I tend to just spin in one gear

£600 for a bike to sit on a turbo  You don't need the best bike to sit on a turbo, a £200 fixie would suffice or fix up your old bike and spend it instead on bling for your outdoor bike ;)
we have a £45 Trek Navigator sat on ours ok its not road ride able as brakes need attention but for turbo use its just dandy

they look good value .....
