Gone a bit mad and bought a slightly used Pocket Companion with 24 speed,mudguards and rear rack.Standard BF saddle not comfortable so replaced with an old Brooks CR9 I had lying around.( B17s do not fit my posterior). Bike has been hardly ever used by looks of it. Last year I dumped a lowrider front rack I reckoned I would never use. Big mistake as I could now use it. Never assume that things will never be needed again! Strange for a USA bike it has Presta valves where I would expect Schraeder and nowhere sensible to mount a pump. Twist gearchange has been converted to thumbshifters which I can just manage due to arthritic thumbs. It is not really a folder as it mostly comes to bits with only one fold where the rear wheel goes under rather like a Brompton. Will I keep my Brompton? Of course I will. Horses for courses and all that. Time will tell how this new purchase goes.
