I don't know if this topic has been done to death else where but just thought i'd post this it might interest others and save some money.

I've spent what i consider to be an aweful lot of money on my bikes. I currently have 2, a Thorn and an Orbea. Total value in the region of £4000 to replace. I have had the Thorn on my home insurance for the last 4 years, the cost this year about £60. I've just rung to have the new bike added and the premimum goes up to £126. I thought I'd have a look to see if i could better that elsewhere. The CTC insurance link was over £300 for the two bikes and cycleguard £389!!

My home insurance is with LV; I think I'll stay with them!!

Make sure you read the small print in your home insurance policy to see what level of cover they give you for the bikes.
