Bike light concern

I recently bought a wide angle 1200lm light SUYIWEE from amazon. Did I make a foolish purchase? Also is it really necessary to pay attention to lumen when buying a light? Also looking for a very durable spotlight to pair with the wide angle light. Trails and country roads and very bumpy dirtroads are my typical night rides.

Possibly not a good light for road. Have a search on here as there are a load of current threads. If there is on-coming traffic, you might need to look at a dipped light, then use the brighter non-dipped light for off road.

A dipped beam front light doesn't have to be low lumen, for example this 1200 lumen I bought from Amazon was ~£27 back in Feb this year when I bought it.

I don't know if it's still the case, but the front/rear set I bought from Lidl in March 2020 appeared to have a front that conformed to the Stvzo German standard that includes dipped beam, the set was ~£8 iirc.

I have 3 lights - all rechargeable

2 just wide angle so people can see I am there

and one narrown beam that I can use pointed at the ground in front to watch for potholes

The 2 wide bean are in case one runs out of charge - but their point is just for others to see me
