Bike Maintenance and Cleaning sets

Hey folks,

I'm in a bit of a quandery at the minute. I had a Park Tools chain cleaning tool which was awesome, but with moving I lost it some years ago.
So, currently, I'm looking at either the Park Tools brush GSC1 (or something similar) or buying the same Chain Scrubber again.

I'm a little lazy, but when it comes to my bike I'd like to do things right.

I've also been eyeing up some sets, like the Weldtite Mini Bucket, but unsure if it is actually worthwhile...

So, what do you guys suggest, buying single items, or sets, or do you have any other recommendations?

Cheers!

pop into your poundland and you can buy everything you need for a few quid and save yourself a few quid too

I have a bike repair kit from Aldi (£14.99 in clearance if I recall) and some old toothbrushes. Can be messy, but works.

I was wondering if you'd suggest the brushes @NormanD , just thought I best get the right kit "first time around".

Will be asking my missus to pick up some gloves from her work, as she's in the care industry.
I have some lube and oil already, so will buy some good degreaser

Thanks @KneesUp , will have to look at Lidl and Aldi again soon.
I did consider toothbrushes, just some poundland ones so it's not serious money lost, but thank you guys

What brushes do you use @ScotiaLass ?
I was considering the park tool one because I know it's pretty coarse, meaning a good scrubber, plus you have the bit to pull out crap within the cassette.
I use a car wash brush that I got in Wilkies or somewhere for the frame, handlebars etc and a chain cleaner brush I got free with a MBT magazine ages ago. Two brushes, it's all you need really.
My bike is always immaculate....

Blimey, the only time my bike was clean was the day I collected it

It's been road mucked since haha. A friend of mine has just shown me his bike though, so considering mine hasn't been cleaned since Feb, it's in better condition, considering I ride everyday.

Got a couple of bottles of that when someone on here mentioned it - it does the job
