Sooooo: jump on my bike, away to do a drinks waiting shift at an office Christmas party.
Said Christmas party is held at Hampden park, Scotland's national football stadium.
This venue has only one bike parking rack, well hidden under an exit staircase.
Naturally, because my Mrs. Doubtfire won't fit the standard way - wheels too big, and me being the only one ever parked there anyway, I park sideways, as in picture below (picture not mine, bike not mine)
how not park.jpg effectively taking the whole rack
When I get to my service area, a wee look at the table plan tells me a party from the Southern General Hospital is booked ... anyone in the know knows this is the workplace of Magnatom  :excl:  :B)
He was not with the party :heat:

Re the thread title.
It's not a parking blunder its a cycle infrastructure installation blunder:angry:.
One would have hoped the owners of such a prestigious stadium could have done better,........ hoped but not expected I suppose:sad:

To be fair Snorri, when Hampden hosted some Olympic events 2 summers ago, part an adiacent wasteland was made into a secure bike park. Security on site all day, id wristbands for you and for your bike, space for at least 100 bikes.
During the 2 week event, the maximum occupancy at one time was 7 bikes, one of them mine - I did ask every day how many bikes did use the parking, out of curiosity.

That's interesting to hear Pat 25mph".
There must be many like me who don't use our bikes at times because of parking security concerns, then are pleasantly surprised to find these have been provided:smile: but disappointed to see them underused:sad:.
Y' jist canna' win.^_^

I'm guessing that was an error with your shift key... either that or Pat has been doing some serious training for the next CC Ecosse ride and plans to leave us all for dust! :bicycle:
