Hello, I got a new bike rack and seat from Halford, but they keep slipping as I ride (Seatpost and Selle Royal). I have an apollo phaze e-bike that I installed the on, and I need a secure fit for my commute. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get a good rack and maintain the seat?

Thank you

Make sure the seatpost clamp is tight enough and that you haven't exceeded the minimum insertion line. For the rack, check that all the bolts are properly tightened to the frame's mounting points. A carbon grip paste on the seatpost can really help stop it from slipping.

Is it a carbon-fiber seat post? (Those are notorious for slippage.) I put blue LocTite on it before inserting. It remedies the problem completely, and is still easy enough to adjust later if you want to. I've also heard of using hair spray, but I have not tried that.

Hi, I have drives these things before(not bad just basic) be it not the electric version but they come with ''appollo comfort'' as off standard. They feel a bit like a wooden plank and like a wooden plank with nails if you drive longer, so good choice upgrading to Selle Royal. So the slipping do you mean you feel the saddle slipping down or do you mean you slipping off the saddle? if it's slipping off try and find the best position, if you look right under the saddle you see there is an metal v shaped ''framework'' which you can loosen with an Allen key. then you can move it forwards or backwards, en just try which one works for you.
If you mean sliding down, i'm going to ask a bit about the rack, is it by any change a rack that mounts to your seatpost? if so you seatpost most likely needs to be tightened much more as those racks are really strong but do put extra pressure on you seatpost. Also you rack should be as low on the seatpost as possible.
If you have an other type of rack that mounts below the seatpost on the dedicated mounting points on your frame, if something slips from it you might need to adjust the angle. (they either have pre drilled holes or a few bolts you loosen and then allow you to slide it into a different position.)
