Both offer similar looking products but which one to go for?

3 Pulse ID tags. These are waterproof, tamper-resistant tags that use QR Codes that can be scanned using a mobile phone. They're trackable, traceable and tough. Thieves hate traceable goods, and the very fact that your bike is visibly tagged works as a deterrent. If your bike is recovered, by anyone (not just the police) and the tags scanned, they will indicate the status of the bike. If it is stolen, alerts can be sent to the police and the owner showing the location of the bike and getting the word out. It's all about getting your bike back to you.

Tamper Resistant QR barcode label which can be used to identify your bike on the BikeRegister website, through the use of a smart phone. A registration Logbook (that you print off yourself), is used as proof of ownership. Lifetime registration on the BikeRegister database, and secure on-line access to your account, gives you the flexibility to change your contact and bike details when you need to, at no extra cost. Please note that no labels are permanent, and this QR barcode sticker is neither a security device nor a Police preferred product.

This Selectamark marking kit holds the Police Preferred ‘Secured By Design’ licence, and is a very strong theft deterrent.
I am tempted by the last one or are the stickers which stand out more a better deterrent to a tea leaf ?
About to move house and bikes will be in a security shed with anchors, chains etc and insured.

I've got bike register ( kindly policeman did it on the street one day) sticker on the top tube and the blue magic numbers underneath. Tho if anyone wants to nick my bike they have to climb up 5 flights ;-)

My last work place used to mark all their IT equipment with Selectamart - it was my job to do it. The one in the picture is an etching one. I would not want to be doing that to a bike because although you are seeing a layer of 'paint' that is raised and very visible (also colours can be changed), underneath it has eaten into the plastic or metal (depending on which solution applied over the stencil) leaving a visible imprint if the paint was ground off - my immediate thoughts were it would create a weak point in the frame. The times we did have IT equipment stolen, if it was found it did make it easy to return to us though! Selectamark do do some "I'm very hard to peel off labels" as well, but usually there was a minimum number of both kits that had to be purchased and they were not that cheap and you could with patience get them off eventually.

I recently signed up at bike register, added both my bikes and data tagged them both as well, seems fine for my needs, the blue numbers on the underside of both frames along with stickers, also added the non removable stickers to the frame and wheels, both data tag chips are hidden inside the frame, using a method i found online with a straw and the glue that comes with them.
