I see from their Facebook page that The Cycle Factory in Calderdale was looted after being flooded on Saturday 26th December. The following is cut and pasted from their page:-

The scumbag bike thieves are a waste of good oxygen!

I discovered Cycle Factory a couple of weeks before Christmas. (They are on a side street 50 yards off the main A646 through Todmorden.) They were just starting to ramp up the business, and were still buying new stock but they already had some nice bikes in. They had only just put a sign up on the main road pointing down to the shop.

I hope they catch the thieves. I'm sure that it will not go down well in the town for people to be ripping off flood victims, and somebody will talk. That is assuming that the thieves were not opportunists from out of town.

Yeah its bad but their insurance should cover it. I hope they get them back but I think they are long gone now.

There will be a large excess and the premiums will rise for about 5 years.

Pure scrum, which unfortunately seems to be an expanding group.

It's about 6 miles down the valley from the looted bike shop.

Local motorcycle clubs have organised patrols of hefty bikers to deter would-be looters (LINK)!
